Residents bedroom

Haven House has been specially designed for our resident’s needs including those living with dementia using colour schemes that easily enable residents to identify areas within the home.

The ground floor consists of staff offices, a serviced kitchen, dining room and activities area including a pool table, smoking room and a beautifully-maintained garden.

On the 1st and 2nd floor there are additional lounges and there is a passenger lift; allowing level access to all floors.

Each resident’s room is of a generous size, with modern furnishings which is tastefully decorated. All bedrooms are single suites and are equipped with individually controlled heating, two lockable cupboards, kettle, digital and satellite (subscription may be required) points, direct line telephone,  free internet access through an Ethernet cable  and ensuite bathroom which include a wet room walk in shower. In addition to the above we have a further three bedrooms which are fully wheel chair accessible and a further two bedrooms have their own kitchenette.

All rooms are equipped with a fast response call alarm system should assistance be required day or night.

All residents have the opportunity to customise their rooms with personal belongings (small items of furniture, pictures, TV etc.) to enable them to enjoy an even more homely experience.

Throughout the home there is a range of communal dining facilities to suit people who enjoy socialising as well as those who prefer quieter activities.

The basement also includes a launderette

Nutritional Menu

A choice of menu is available daily. Meals are wholesome and nutritious and there is always a good balance of home cooked and ready prepared food, with fresh  fruit and vegetables available daily. Options for those with special dietary requirements are also provided.

Residents are encouraged to socialise by having tea, coffee and meals in the communal lounge and dining room area, however, personal wishes for privacy are always respected.
