Super Hero Run
The Super Hero Run is a fantastic running event that took place in London's Regent's Park on Sunday 15th May 2016. There were 2,200 runners on the day, with superheroes in all shapes and sizes.
So far our 2016 runners have collectively raised an amazing £1,660.59 for West London Day Centre! Amongst others we had WonderWoman, Hong Kong Phooey, SuperGirl and our very own Banana Man running!
Feeling inspired to become a superhero in 2017?
It's not too early to register your interest for the Super Hero run in 2017! Why not organise a team at work, get some friends together or get the family involved? And by taking part you can help a homeless person find a new home! We’re suggesting each runner aim to raise £150 as this would pay for a homeless person to receive an assessment at the Day Centre, to draw up an action plan, to liaise with benefit agencies and housing providers, access specialist services and to assist people to transition into accommodation.
You can choose the 5km or 10km route. No previous experience is required and with a bit of training the distance should easily be within your capabilities. The spirit of the event is 'taking part' not 'winning' so you can run, jog or walk it's up to you. Registration is £25 and includes a free Super Hero costume, or you can come dressed up as your own super hero - you decide! Wheelchair entrants are welcome and so are children over the age of eight.
Will you take part and help support a homeless person to move into accommodation?
