"Brave the Shave"

Phil Lipscombe, a Resident of Big House is taking part in ‘Brave the Shave’ to raise money for Macmillan Nurses. He explains “I lost my wife to breast cancer when she was only 31. Through what was a difficult time the Macmillan nurses were there for me 24/7 and couldn’t do enough. Last year we organised a coffee morning with Walworth Road Methodist Church, who are next to Big House. After a lot of work, we raised £260. This year I’d really like to hit the £500 target.”
Jamie Hickling- Service Manager at Big house said “It’s very humbling to hear Phil’s story and speaking with him you get a real sense of his passion for McMillian. Phil’s openness has prompted conversations at Big House about how cancer has touched many of our lives and his commitment to this fundraising shows great spirit.”
