June 2015 at the West London Day Centre

We are very pleased to report that since 1 April we have been able to help 48 homeless people off the streets and into accommodation. And last month (May 2015) we also helped 11 people to start paid work. This included 3 who found jobs in factories, 2 in construction, one in a warehouse, a chef, a kitchen porter, painting and decorating, another cleaning and one in a car wash.  We try and place the homeless people who do find work in night shelters or other temporary accommodation so that they can save their money for a deposit and then move into their own rented places.

On Sunday some supporters from the local office of TLC Marketing are running in the Swansea Half Marathon to raise money for us. (Volunteers from TLC have also been helping our folks here write CV’s and find work through the internet.) Please support their run with a donation here .

At the moment we are also collecting sanitary towels so that women with limited or no access to these products aren’t forced to go without.  Please see thehomelessperiod for more information or just send us a box of sanitary products for us to give to the women who are currently using the day centre, thanks.
